Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Integrated Resort Management

Introduction

BA (Hons) Integrated Resort Management prepares graduates for the diverse roles of a resort manager, in an industry which caters to wide ranging tastes arising from the global market place. Studying this programme provides graduates with industry relevant skills, knowledge and understanding by drawing from a pool of expertise in customer service, quality, licensing and management to provide the wide ranging holiday experiences that consumers demand. At the end of the programme, the student will be well prepared for a management career in this exciting industry with worldwide work opportunities such as Resort Operations Manager, customer Experience Manager, Customer Service Manager, Events & Conference Coordinator.

Academic Progression

Upon completion of the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Integrated Resort Management, students will be eligible for entry into the Master of Business Administration programme offered by the University of Wolverhampton (UK), provided that the entry requirements are met.

Course Delivery

Students undertaking the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Integrated Resort Management programme will be expected to complete 5 modules of academic study.

This programme is available on both full and part time basis, and will take 12 months to complete. Full-time students will attend classes 5 days a week on weekdays while part-time students will attend classes 2-3 times a week on weekdays.

Course Availability

Intakes for the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Integrated Resort Management are available each February, June and September. All applications should be submitted to ERCI no later than 1 month before the commencement date.

Assessment Framework

Courses are assessed by a combination of coursework, practical assignments and examinations. Formative assessments will also be included, as well as self- and peer-assessment and a research project.

Entry Requirements

    • Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Integrated Resort Management
  • Minimum C6 in English at GCE 'O' Levels or;
  • IELTS 6.0 or equivalent, or;
  • TOEFL 550 (Paper based) or equivalent, or
  • Evidence of English proficiency equivalent to the IELTS or TOEFL as above.
  • Evidence of completion of certificate course conducted in English (only for Singapore Institutions)
  • ERCI Advanced Diploma in Business Administration or;
  • Advanced Diploma in business from a recognized institute of higher learning; or
  • Business Diploma from a local polytechnic
  • Applicants should be at least 18 years of age at the time of registration
  • Applicants with a diploma in a non-business related field from a local polytechnic or a recognized institute of higher learning will be required to undertake bridging modules at the ERCI Advanced Diploma level, subject to assessment for exemptions
  • Students who do not meet the English Language Requirements are to sit for ERC Institute English Placement Test

Graduation Requirements

Students must successfully complete, or be credited with, at least 360 credits within the stipulated period of study as set by the University, either via module exemptions or completion of requisite modules.

Local Students

The total course fees are S$18,900.00, and are inclusive of examination fees & course materials, but not the cost of textbooks. Course fees are subject to the prevailing GST rates, and are payable to "ERC Institute Pte Ltd" in Singapore DOLLARS.
