Many English speaking citizens of the world feel that there is no need to learn a foreign language as English is the most widely spoken language in the world. Many may be surprised to learn that although English is the default language used in business and economic contexts, it ranks only as the third most widely spoken language in the world.

So, why pick up a second or even third language? Well, for one, learning a foreign language exposes you to the cultural elements of another country or society. Learning a foreign language also allows you to communicate and integrate with the native speakers of that language, especially useful if you are travelling, living or doing business in a foreign country.

Course Objectives

The course will enable participants to speak and understand a foreign language within 2.5 months. Participants will develop effective conversation skills to undertake the foreign language content with confidence. The course will also provide participants with an insight into the culture, customs, traditions and practices of the country.

Course Synopsis

Participants will practice conversing in natural, real-life situations. Topics will be tied to typical yet specific social and business scenarios, and will be built on communicative themes. To ensure that the class is conducted interactively, there will be a 2-way communication with the native lecturer. Participants will learn the proper pronunciation and correct accent. Useful everyday phrases and colloquial slang will be introduced.

Course Structure

Each course consists of 3 levels: Basic, Intermediate and Advanced, which can be completed in 2.5 months each. Each level consists of 10 lessons of 2.5 hours each.

Weekdays (Once a week):	7pm - 9.30pm
Weekends (Sat or Sun):	2pm - 4.30pm

• Duration: 14 lessons; 28 hours
• Schedule: 2 times a week / 2 hours per lesson

Remarks

• There will be a one-time registration fee payment for each new student sign-up. All costs are subject to prevailing GST rates.
• Registrations of 2 or more students on that same day will be entitled to a waiver of the registration fee. Alternatively, a waiver of the registration fee will be given if a student signs up for 2 levels or 2 language courses at the same time.
