The Art of Being Assertive

Overview / Introduction

Assertiveness is the key to getting heard, being respected and being recognized. It is about speaking and being heard while playing fair and respect to the others. It is a way to negotiation with a satisfied ending.

Participants will be to enhance their self confidence and esteem and hence be able to communicate in a more confident manner in order to get things done. Having this skill acquired, participants will be able to handle difficult colleagues, staff and customers.

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to differentiate between assertiveness, aggressive and passiveness behaviours. Participants will understand the benefits and drawbacks of assertive. Exploring the skills in balancing assertiveness and people skills at the workplace will be part of the programme. By the end of the Programme, participants will learn how to communicate in an assertive manner, handle difficult people in the workplace and pick up the skills of Conflict Management.
