Foundation Certificate in Business Administration

Introduction

The ERCI Entrepreneurship and Business Academy (EBA) is well known for its dynamism. EBA has the largest number of graduates. Its popularity is due largely to its up-to-date training methods and curriculum, reputable industry partners, modern facilities and dedicated academic team. We strongly believe in delivering quality education and experiences to ensure our graduates' success in the evolving world of enterprise.

ERCI runs its classes on a lecture-tutorial system. The average teacher-student ratio for lectures and tutorials are as follows:

  • Lectures - 150 Students to 1 Lecturer
  • Tutorials - 35 Students to 1 Tutor

Academic Progression

Upon completion of the Foundation Certificate In Business Administration, students will be eligible for entry into our Diploma Programmes.

Course Delivery

Students undertaking the Foundation Certificate in Business Administration programme will be expected to complete 3 modules of academic study over 2 semesters. This programme is available only for full-time mode, and will take 4 months to complete. Full-time students will attend classes 5 days a week on weekdays.

Course Availability

Intakes for the Foundation Certificate in Business Administration commence at an interval of every 2 -3 months. All applications should be submitted to ERCI no later than 2 months before the commencement.

Assessment Framework

Courses are assessed by a combination of coursework, practical assignments and examinations. Unless otherwise stated, all modules within the Diploma in Business Courses are assessed by a combination of coursework, practical assignments and examination. Unless otherwise state, all modules are assessed based on the 5-2-2-1 framework. 50% on examination, 20%individual assignment(s) and/or class test, 20% on a group project, and 10% on a group presentation.

Entry Requirements

Local applicants should possess the minimum qualifications:

  • GCE 'N' Levels Technical, normal or Academic with a minimum Grade 5 in English Language or;
  • Less than 3 GCE 'O' Level credits or regional equivalent, or;

International applicants should possess the minimum qualifications:

  • IELTS 4.5 or equivalent, or;
  • TOEFL 475 (Paper based) or equivalent, or;
  • TOEFL 53 (Internet Base) or equivalent, or
  • TOEIC 405-600, or;
  • Evidence of completion of a certificate course conducted in English
  • A minimum of Year 10 Studies or equivalent.

Applicants should be at least 16 years of age at the time of registration.

Mature Candidates may also apply for the programme provided they:

  • Are 18 years and above at the time of registration;

All applications are subject to the Institute’s assessment of eligibility for entry into the programme.

Graduation Requirements

Students must meet the attendance requirements (90% for International Students, 75% for Local Students), and pass all prescribed modules in the course with a minimum grade of P (Pass).
