Introduction

The Diploma in Business Administration programme is designed to enable students to attain the thinking skills, creative ability and technical knowledge needed to become professionals in their chosen field, taking into account the context of their work and the ever changing global environment. Students will learn to be flexible and sensitive to the dynamic changes in business trends and the needs of their industry. A focus is placed on the student’s development of his or her own individual business leadership development. The programme recognises and emphasises the value of the business process from concept through to realisation of practical business solutions, and presentation.

ERCI runs its classes on a lecture-tutorial system. The average teacher-student ratio for lectures and tutorials are as follows:

• Lectures - 150 Students to 1 Lecturer
• Tutorials - 35 Students to 1 Tutor

Academic Progression

Upon completion of the Diploma in Business Administration, students will be eligible for entry into the Advanced Diploma in Business Administration, which is the academic equivalent of the 2nd year degree programme of the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Business Management programme offered by the University of Greenwich (UK).

Course Delivery

Students undertaking the Diploma in Business Administration programme will be expected to complete 8 modules of academic study over 4 semesters. This programme is available on both full and part time bases, and will take 9 months to complete. Full-time students will attend classes 5 days a week on weekdays, while part-time students will attend classes 3 times a week on weekdays and/or on weekends.

Course Availability

Intakes for the Diploma in Business Administration programme are available each January, March, May, July, September and November. All applications should be submitted to ERCI no later than 1 month before the commencement date.

Assessment Framework

Courses are assessed by a combination of coursework, practical assignments and examinations. Unless otherwise stated, all modules within the Diploma in Business Administration programme are assessed based on the 5-2-2-1 framework: 50% on examination, 20% on individual assignment(s) and/or class tests, 20% on a group project, and 10% on a group presentation.

Diploma in Business Administration	Minimum C6 in English Language at GCE 'O' Levels or; IELTS 5.5 or equivalent, or; TOEFL 513 (Paper based) or equivalent, or; TOEFL 65 (Internet based) or equivalent, or; TOEIC 605-780.	Minimum 3 GCE 'O' Level credits or regional equivalent, or; ERCI Foundation Certificate in Business Administration / NITEC Qualification; or Minimum Year 12 Studies or equivalent.	Applicants should be at least 17 years of age at the time of registration. Mature Candidates may also apply for the programme provided they: Are 18 years and above at the time of registration; Have at least 2 years of verifiable working experience; Provide a detailed resume with contact details of past and present employers; Pass the ERCI Aptitude Test; Pass an interview conducted by one of ERCI's Senior Academics.

Graduation Requirements

Students must pass all prescribed modules in the Diploma in Business Administration programme with a minimum grade of P (Pass).

Total course fees are S$4,800.00, and are inclusive of examination fees & course materials, but not the cost of textbooks. Course fees are subject to the prevailing GST rates, and are payable to “ERC Institute Pte Ltd” in Singapore DOLLARS.
