Advanced Diploma in Business Administration (Marketing & Sales Management)

Introduction

The Advanced Diploma in Business Administration (Marketing & Sales Management) aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills of Marketing and Sales Management so that they can be effective in meeting the demands and challenges of the marketplace, as well as to provide an avenue for participants to further their marketing education with professional marketing bodies and overseas universities and, where possible, to complete them in a shorter time.

ERCI runs its classes on a lecture-tutorial system. The average teacher-student ratio for lectures and tutorials are as follows:

  • Lectures - 150 Students to 1 Lecturer
  • Tutorials - 35 Students to 1 Tutor

Academic Progression


Upon completion of the Advanced Diploma in Business Administration, students will be eligible for entry into the final year Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Business Management programme offered by the University of Greenwich (UK). Students may choose to graduate with a General specialization, or apply to specialise in Finance, Tourism & Hospitality Management or Wealth Management.

Course Delivery

  • 20 months duration
  • 16 modules of academic study over 8 semesters
  • Full-time students: Classes on 5 weekdays
  • Part-time students: Classes on 3 weekdays and/or on weekends

Course Availability

Intakes for the Advanced Diploma in Business Administration programme are available each January, March, May, July, September and November. All applications should be submitted to ERCI no later than 1 month before the commencement date.

Assessment Framework

Courses are assessed by a combination of coursework, practical assignments and examinations. Unless otherwise stated, all modules within the Advanced Diploma in Business Administration programme are assessed based on the 5-2-2-1 framework: 50% on examination, 20% on individual assignment(s) and/or class tests, 20% on a group project, and 10% on a group presentation.

Entry Requirements

Local applicants should possess the minimum qualifications:

  • A minimum C6 Grade in English at GCE 'O' Levels; and
  • A minimum of 3 GCE 'O' Level credits or regional equivalent, or
  • An ERCI Foundation Certificate in Business Administration / NITEC Qualification.

International applicants should possess the minimum qualifications:

  • Completed Secondary School education in English; or
  • An International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of at least 5.5; or
  • A Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of at least 513 (paper-based) or 65 (Internet-based); or
  • A Test of English as International Communications (TOEIC) score of 605-780; and
  • An ERCI Foundation Certificate in Business Administration / NITEC Qualification, or
  • A minimum of Year 12 Studies or equivalent.

Applicants should be at least 17 years of age at the time of registration.

Mature Candidates may also apply for the programme provided they:

  • Are 18 years and above at the time of registration;
  • Have at least 2 years of verifiable working experience;
  • Provide a detailed resume with contact details of past and present employers;
  • Pass the ERCI Aptitude Test;
  • Pass an interview conducted by one of ERCI's Senior Academics

All applications are subject to the Institute’s assessment of eligibility for entry into the programme.

Graduation Requirements

Students must pass all prescribed modules in the Advanced Diploma in Business Administration programme with a minimum grade of P (Pass).

Course Fees

The total course fees are S$11,000.00, and are inclusive of examination fees & course materials, but not the cost of textbooks. Course fees are subject to the prevailing GST rates, and are payable to "ERC Institute Pte Ltd" in Singapore DOLLARS.
